Worth an experience! It was my first time for Michelin 2 star restaurant and indeed an amazing tasting experience. They features all sorts of sauces adding to the course in front of you, and the flavors are rich and colorful. My favorites are caviar and potato, king crab and sunchock, lamb and lentil, and OMG the most famous birds nest!!! I hate goat cheese but this one is out of my mind, which doesn’t taste like goa... What NYCFoodie doesn't like about Aquavit:
We ate in the main dining room. The food was just okay. We did enjoy the wine paring. We weren’t wowed by any course, and actually didn’t like one. Can’t believe that the restaurant has two Michelin stars. Far too many exemplary restaurants in NYC, and this isn’t one of them. Go somewhere else! View all feedback.
My daughter and I went to their Scandinavian lunch. Everything was beautifully presented and service excellent. It was my daughter's birthday and they gave a comp dessert. The only drawback was that the restaurant was frozen. We changed tables, but even that didn't help much. The restaurant gave me a cloth. The bar was not very populated. Maybe you avoid it because of the cold? Staff said they wanted to correct the problem, but I wouldn't go back unless I was sure it was solved.
My wife and I had a fantastic experience with Aquavit. The food was amazing, the service was fantastic. Let's go!
Not for Christmas! Pretty possibly during non=Holiday periods.
Was sitting in the bar section and got three very nice dishes. Especially the starter and the main course were amazing! Their cocktail lidt is also great and inventive! Worth a visit!
Firstly, the service was impeccable. our waitress was very sweet and knowledgeable. the non alcoholic pairing was very interesting, given i’ve never had one before. i enjoyed all the drinks thoroughly, which unfortunately is more than i can say for the food. the first courses had taste combinations i found very odd and not always the best. additionally i found it hard to balance each bite, given many times there was a large clump of sauce placed somewhere separate from the main dish area. the duck and cod were very good though. the dessert again had the balance issue with lots of little separate components you had to mix and eat as you liked, resulting in unbalanced flavor profiles.
