Visitors recommend the roti, char kway teow, and various laksas, all celebrated for their taste and quality—particularly the char kway teow, noted for being delightfully non-greasy. The restaurant's cozy atmosphere can lead to a packed house, so reservations are advisable. While some diners found the pricing on the higher side and service occasionally slow, the overwhelming sentiment is one of satisfaction and a commitment to return, making it a standout choice for Malaysian food enthusiasts.
I went to this restaurant for dinner with my family for the first time and I was not disappointed. I enjoyed everything thoroughly and will definitely return!
The food at this restaurant is excellent! We tried the roti, char kway teow, and boneless Hainanese chicken, and all of them were delicious. The char kway teow here is the best we've had, it's not greasy at all. The service was a little slow because there was only one person working, but we still highly recommend this place and would definitely come back again!
I tried Malaysian cuisine for the first time and had a great experience. The food was delicious and flavorful, although quite pricey. The restaurant had a nice interior but was a bit cramped. Overall, it was a good first-time experience, but I probably won't be returning due to the high prices.
We ordered four different plates. We loved the green beans and fried rice. The Indian noodles and curry we re satisfactory as was the banana dessert. Thank you for the tasty food which made for an enjoyable evening.
To celebrate D’s graduation we went to Tamarind Hill in New Westminster. Having a Malaysian restaurant in our neighbourhood (only minutes away by car) is such a bonus!. Our friend Espie attended the graduation with us and joined the dinner. To accommodate everyone’s comfort level we ensured everything we ordered was at the mild-spice level, but you can definitely increase the heat as you wish.
