Wow! I made reservations at this restaurant while visiting New Orleans during Mardi Gras and had an incredible three-course meal. The atmosphere at Upperline is a combination of...

Disappointing, I regret to say. Despite high expectations from positive reviews, I was disappointed after seeing the few, but other three-star reviews. My concerns aligned with theirs.

This restaurant is a hidden gem! The owner, Miss Joann, is always working there and the wine and pear martinis are fantastic. We had a group dinner in a private room and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

The Upperline is my favorite New Orleans and I have eaten my way through the city over the years, so that is very high praise indeed. The last time we were in New Orleans for 6 nights we ate there 4 times with the other 2 nights having been devoted to another Garden district classic which we did not at all like and the Commander's Palace which does not compare to the Upperline. The waiters have been there for years and service is superb. The owner is on site and usually can be found near the bar and the front entrance. But, the food is to die for, and after 4 nights of it I must have gained 10 pounds. If you are in New Orleans, do not miss this treat. I have dined in almost every New Orleans restaurant that one could name and none hold a candle to the Upperline.

My sister and I dined at the Upper Line and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. As part of the holiday tradition, we both ate from the Revilon menu and shared our plates. I had the Hot and Hot Piquant Shrimp and it was perfect, nuanced and delightful! What a hidden gem alert! highly recommend
