**Sofia's: A Mixed Culinary Experience** Sofia's restaurant offers a delightful ambiance and a mix of enjoyable dishes, though opinions on the overall experience vary. While some praised the cozy atmosphere and handmade pasta, others found service lacking, with reports of unrefilled drinks and slow delivery. Highlights include the flavorful spicy pizza, rich focaccia, and delectable meatballs; however, portion sizes and value for the price were points of contention. The decor adds a charming touch, ideal for special occasions, yet consistent experiences are key. Reservations are highly recommended due to its popularity. For those seeking Italian fare in a cozy setting, Sofia's remains a notable choice.
The food at this restaurant was absolutely delicious, and the focaccia was definitely my favorite. It had a wonderful balance of richness and lightness. We arrived around 5:30 PM on a Sunday and were seated right away at a table for two. By the time we started eating, the restaurant had filled up, and wait times for those arriving later were likely close to an hour, so we were fortunate with our timing. Our waiter was polite, attentive, and had a great sense of humor. Whenever we mentioned having questions, he would respond with, "And I have answers for you!"
I just discovered a new favorite restaurant! This was our first visit, and it was a wonderful experience. We started with the meatballs, which were incredibly flavorful and had a great texture. I was really satisfied with just two meatballs, haha! Next, we tried the House Ricotta, and wow, it was amazing. The balance of the cheese with the sweetness of the honey, complemented by the olive oil on the bread, was perfect. For my main course, I chose the cacio e pepe, and I’m so glad I did—it was outstanding! It ranks among the best cacio e pepe I’ve had, even compared to those in Rome. We ended up ordering a second bowl to share. My companion had the short rib ragu and really enjoyed it. We also shared the zeppole and panna cotta; they were good, but for me, the first two courses were definitely the highlight. The service was good, although our drinks took a little while to arrive from the bar. We will definitely be returning!
I found this place on Tiktok. I did a reservation for brunch for my best friend’s 30th birthday. It’s smaller than I though it would be, so I highly recommend a reservation if you want to avoid waiting, but it is so cute inside with the queen Sofia Loren being the theme. The design feels fancy and the food was amazing. I had pancakes and they were basically like fluffy cinnamon rolls bites of heaven in your mouth. Everyone at the table got something different and we all loved it. They don’t mess around with the bottomless mimosas and their other drinks were great! It was a quick walk from our hotel and a nice location with great food and great drinks.
Dined last night for my Girlfriend’s birthday and we had a great time. The ricotta and sardines were delicious. Gluten free pizza was really good too. I ordered the risotto for my entree and it was rather salty and too loose, not creamy. The soft shell crab was surprisingly small as well. Other than that the food was really tasty. $58.27 see the picture the food is fine but the amount is tiny for what they charge. we ordered pasta for my self and appetizer for my wife. The pasta is $24 see the picture We did not try the pizza. But pizza also started from $24 and up for medium size. There is a 4% kitchen appreciation .??? I would not recommend it this restaurant.
