My hubby was getting a new tat at downtown, was walking around and heard music, I stopped in for a beer and listened to some great music in the courtyard. Great little spot! View all feedback.
Rare Form is a hidden gem on Frenchmen Street! There's never a cover charge, and it's never as crowded as the other bars in the area. The live music is outstanding, especially with the Steve Mignano Band delivering incredible blues rock every Saturday night. He might just be the best guitarist in the French Quarter, which is saying something given the wealth of musical talent in New Orleans! The bartenders, Casey and Patrick, are fantastic—both super friendly and easygoing, which enhances the overall atmosphere. You really feel like you're among friends here, with none of the attitude you might encounter at some Bourbon Street bars. The drink prices are quite reasonable, especially for such strong cocktails! The food menu often changes, but I’ve dined here multiple times, and it has always been very good with minimal wait times. On weekends, they host jazz brunches featuring bottomless mimosas! I genuinely can’t say enough positive things about this bar. It’s definitely my favorite on Frenchmen!
The food, service, and live music are consistently excellent! It's a wonderful spot to unwind in the courtyard with family and friends. The red beans and rice are fantastic, especially when paired with a cold Abita Boot. This is always our go-to place whenever we visit town!
The atmosphere is fantastic, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the music is excellent. We highly recommend this place!
Great hidden spot for beverages and some awesome local live music. Easy to miss but worth the little detour.
Quaint out of the way place. Amazing bands. Beautiful courtyard. Nice bartenders.. Such a great place that newcomers don't know about.. A must do!
