New China - New Orleans

I absolutely adore this restaurant! They serve authentic, homestyle Chinese cuisine at fantastic prices. We order takeout from here every week, and with each new dish we try from the menu, it just gets better and better. I highly recommend it!

I was completely surprised by this restaurant! It's a quaint little spot with friendly staff and delicious traditional Chinese food. The portion sizes were generous as well. My husband and I ordered a family meal for two, planning to get something to-go for our son. However, we had so much leftover after our meal that we didn’t need to order anything for him. We will definitely be back!

I usually don't write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience. I live just a few blocks away and often order from here. The food is consistently excellent. However, after a grueling 50-hour work week, I placed an online order for pickup and accidentally fell asleep. When I woke up over an hour later, I called to check if my order was still there since I hadn't paid yet. The woman on the phone was incredibly nice, and even though I had them prepare the order and then didn’t show up for it, the food was still warm and delicious! It tasted as if it had just been made, and I had ordered the Cho Cho, which are delightful little fried dumplings filled with pork, shrimp, and water chestnuts. They were so good that I just had to let everyone know. As someone who works in the service industry, I recognize how fortunate I was to receive such great service tonight. Thank you, New China!
