This is one of the finest family-owned restaurants in the New Orleans area. You absolutely must try the breaded oysters, sautéed shrimp, and spaghetti with meatballs. With a rich history, their flavorful recipes will keep customers coming back for more. Be sure to bring cash, as this is a cash-only establishment. There is an ATM on-site, but it's best to come prepared! View all feedback.
What jeremy doesn't like about Mosca's:
This is widely considered to be a hidden gem in New Orleans, serving unbelievable food in a posh space. It's none of those things, in reality. The food is, at best, fine. It's Italian food. You've had better, you've had worse. The atmosphere is, again, fine. It's a restaurant. There is nothing bad about Mosca's, and there is nothing special about it either. Food is pretty good. Not what I expected for the price but tasty. Drinks were good. Bring cash as that's all they take but if you forget, there is an ATM on site. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Oyster Mosca, Shrimp Mosca
The food was delicious! Be sure to make reservations and bring cash. The service was excellent, especially given how busy they were. I highly recommend this restaurant!
This restaurant is fantastic! The food, atmosphere, and service were all exceptional. It is handicap accessible and has ample parking. We enjoyed several dishes, including shrimp mosca, chicken La Grande, spaghetti, and oyster mosca, and they were all excellent. Keep in mind that most dishes are served family style, which means there’s enough for more than one person per dish. We brought our own wine, but there is a $30 corkage fee. I highly recommend making a reservation. If you can't reach them by phone, there's an email address available on their website. We ended up with so much food that instead of individual pictures, I took a video of our meal as it progressed.

I wish I could give Mosca 's more than 5 stars. Very small place but the food is fantastic. First heard about this place on the show Somebody Feed Phil . It was talked about very highly on the show, and boy were they were right! Edit: to elaborate on another review about driving 100, no 500, miles, I 'll agree 1,000%. We drove about 140 miles for my birthday, and were already planning our next trip. This is going to be a regular trip for us for now on. We just finished our leftovers from last night and I 'm wishing we were sitting there as I 'm writing this. We 're hooked!!
