That was our first stop on Bourbon Street, and it was fantastic. We sat at the bar and had the pleasure of being served by our bartender (he deserves a raise!). He was personable and made our experience enjoyable. The conversation was great. The oysters were amazing—better than those we had at two other "high-end" restaurants. We'll definitely be back in New Orleans next time! View all feedback.
What Latorrace Sawyers doesn't like about Le Bayou Restaurant Oyster Bar:
I’m a tourist… ordered 60 dollars worth of food to go and every item was HORRIBLE! The oysters were dried out and not shucked properly. The boudin balls tasted like mush and they did not include my creole mustard so they were dry and chewy. The bread pudding was okay, but the quantity for price wasn’t good. Overall, I had a bad food experience- NOT a good representation of NOLA cuisine! ? View all feedback.

The best restaurant on Bourbon Street! We spent just three days in New Orleans, and a friend suggested we end our trip here. Initially, neither of us liked oysters (in fact, we hated them), but we were pleasantly surprised by how delicate and flavorful they were. It was simply perfect! The dining experience was so incredible that we decided to return for our last night. Although they were short-staffed, even with the limited staff at the bar, everyone was cheerful and attentive to the details. Once again, the food was amazing!
We spent new year’s night at Le Bayou. Fast service and very friendly staff! First time trying alligator and crawfish cakes, both very tasty!
Fantastic food with great prices in Bourbon Street! Ray is a great bartender that took care of us today and just another perk of the establishment. We eat here arleast once every time we visit the French Quarter.
Everything we tried was excellent. Izzy at the bar is charming and funny and a whiz with an oyster knife. He moves quick and takes care of everyone without breaking a sweat. Give that man a raise, seriously! We ordered a lot of items and he staggered putting them in so that we got everything super freshly made. Every oyster we had was great but the Bourbon St. Le Bayou's decadent take on Rockefeller is a must try. If you're looking for good food and even better people, Le Bayou is a must visit!
