What User doesn't like about Le Bayou:
This restaurant is located right along Bourbon Road, which I may not have fully appreciated. The atmosphere was quite lacking. The food was just average. The server seemed overwhelmed, making it hard to get refills and other assistance. I think I'll pass next time. View all feedback.
The Bourbon Glazed Chicken is absolutely incredible! It features a super thin, crispy skin that’s bursting with flavor and melts in your mouth like butter! The chicken itself is juicy, tender, and very flavorful. We also tried the Cajun Boudin, which was among the best I've ever tasted! The prices are definitely worth it!
The portion size is simply unacceptable for the price you're paying. There wasn't a single piece of chicken in the dish, and they served the rice in the same bowl instead of separately, which makes the already small serving of gumbo feel even less. It's outrageous.
The Alfredo was tasty, but the portion size definitely didn't justify the price I paid. I spent $34 for a bite-sized serving of Alfredo, which felt more like a snack than a meal.
My family and I waited over an hour for a to-go order that was NOT worth what we were charged AND we found hair in one of the sandwiches! We will never go back to this place. Attached is picture of a “Caesar salad” that we paid for-terrible!
