Sometimes, the best food comes from a gritty, hole-in-the-wall spot run by sweaty, greasy cooks with questionable ethics, serving up hot, delicious dishes. What Ruby S doesn't like about Johnny's Po-boys:
"Overall, it’s a decent place! It’s a cash-only establishment that tends to be small and quite crowded. It has a touristy vibe, especially when compared to the many local po-boy shops around. The po-boy sandwiches are a good size...".

I stopped by for breakfast and ended up eating there every morning of my stay. After spending $26 per person on a mediocre all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet at a 5-star hotel, Johnny's Po-boys $5 breakfast special was a fantastic surprise. The food was plentiful and delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive.
