Buffa's Bar Restaurant - New Orleans

I gathered with a group of friends for Sunday brunch, and it was a fantastic experience. The Bailey's French toast was absolutely amazing, as were the Bloody Marys and mimosas. I also enjoyed the music from Some Like It Hot. I will definitely be returning. I should also mention that the service was excellent, even though the place was busy.

Went here on a whim, sat at front bar, we could hear the music. Have patience during the jazz brunch, they are very busy and food takes awhile. Totally worth it. One of our best meals and definitely our best bfast while in NOLA. Go relax and enjoy the people you're with!

It was my first visit to New Orleans, and my husband hadn’t been back in over 30 years. We arrived at our accommodation around 9:00 PM and were extremely hungry. A quick search online led us to Buffa's, the closest spot within walking distance that was still open (24/7!). Despite the late hour, Huggy the bartender welcomed us with a smile and handed us menus. When it came time to order, he even joined us at our table to chat about where we were from and to suggest some menu items. He recommended the red beans and rice, claiming they were the best in New Orleans, and my husband wholeheartedly agreed—they were among the most delicious he’s ever had. My burger was cooked to perfection—extra well done—and was quite tasty as well. We spent less than an hour there, in and out quickly. If you’re looking for a relaxed, off-the-beaten-path place with excellent food that won’t break the bank, I definitely recommend Buffa's!

I had never visited this hidden gem before going to my friend's 50th anniversary brunch, but I'm so glad I did! It's a quintessential New Orleans bar and restaurant, complete with amazing food and live music. I definitely need to return!
