This charming neighborhood gem is fantastic! The prices are very reasonable, and the food is delicious, complemented by a wonderful staff. You definitely have to stop by and see it for yourself. Plus, it showcases an impressive collection of local art from various artists. View all feedback.
What Jari Willems doesn't like about Artisan And Cafe:
The band was nice but the food options at brunch weren't customizable (I.e. scrambled eggs couldn't be substituted for eggs over easy or you couldn't get grits on the side) and no one honestly enjoyed their meal. Also I ordered toast which came out cold. How do you manage cold toast? The server didn't seem all checked in and service was not the best. View all feedback.
I absolutely love this place! The bartender is very friendly, and the other guests are welcoming as well. It's a great atmosphere.
We had a fantastic waitress named Cheryl who seated our party of 10 in a private room with great music! Everyone loved the fried okra—it’s the best-kept secret in New Orleans!
The food and atmosphere were outstanding! Cheryl was extremely attentive!

I was initially served a warm beer that was mostly foam. We laughed it off, poured it into a paper cup, and forced it down to avoid being rude. However, things only got worse with the food. The place was empty when we ordered two hot dogs and fries, but after a 30-minute wait, we were presented with a plate of cold mush. When I say cold, I mean the hot dogs were only on the grill for about 5 seconds before being taken out of the fridge and served. The bartender/owner did apologize, but it was clear that they didn’t care much about the quality of the food. This was hands down the worst dining experience I've had in recent memory. I will never return and I strongly recommend that others seek out a restaurant that takes pride in their food and stands behind their service, especially in a city like New Orleans. Spending $42 on two cold hot dogs, mediocre fries, and a warm 6oz beer is simply unacceptable.
