Dairy Queen - New Minas

It was unusual to walk into a fast food restaurant on the Sunday of a long weekend and not see a manager present. The service was lacking, the food was mediocre, and the service was especially disappointing. My hamburger was severely overcooked, almost to the point of being burnt. The server seemed extremely shy and unconfident in his role. Normally, despite the small portions, the food at this establishment is decent. However, on this visit, it did not meet expectations.

I brought my family to this restaurant for Mother's Day 2019. My mother, who has been coming here for the past 35 years, ordered her all-time favorite dessert - the peanut buster parfait. Everyone's comments were full of delight. I can't think of a better place to enjoy ice cream than this restaurant, or perhaps the local farmer's market.

Had lunch here today. Got the $7 meal deal. Really disappointed! The burger was burnt and dry with 2 huge chunks of onion that made the whole eating experience a messy one. While the fries were hot and tasty, the serving size was very small. Both ketchup bottles at our booth were almost empty, requiring multiple attempts to get enough out to put on the food. Finally, the sundae what happened DQ????? The lack of sauce on the ice cream was almost non existent it takes a lot of talent to be able to put such a scant amount of sauce in the dish without even hitting the ice cream. I give this visit 2 thumbs down!!

They have an amazing $6 and $7 meal option that comes with a decent meal and does not overload you with unhealthy trash. Coming with a free ice cream always keeps the kids happy as well.

Typical Dairy Queen fast food. Friendly staff, clean restaurant and restrooms. Quick service and the food brought to your table by the staff.
