Description

Dining at this restaurant offers a vibrant atmosphere complemented by commendable service and delicious food. While the unique setting—an old church with stunning decor—adds charm, noise levels can hinder conversation, and some find the prices steep for the overall experience. Although initial reservation mishaps may disrupt, attentive staff and flavorful dishes like halibut and steak quickly redeem the evening. Guests appreciate the effort to accommodate dietary restrictions and the stellar service, despite some minor issues with seating arrangements and wait times. Overall, this venue promises a delightful dining experience, ideal for special occasions, albeit at a premium.

I booked a table on Open Table well in advance for a special birthday. When we arrived, they did not have our reservation! I showed them the open table reservation on my phone (it even said “dining now” . The woman at the front explained they had recently changed reservation platforms and the old open table reservations did not transfer!! They were not very apologetic about it, but we did finally get a table after a 30 minute wait. After that initial glitch, it was great: the service and food were excellent! My halibut was perfectly grilled. A little loud because of high ceiling (the room is beautiful!

The food and drinks were decent, but the service was lacking, especially for a restaurant that was only half full. The building itself was fine. Overall, I was disappointed, especially after hearing that it might be worth trying.

We drove in and spent the weekend in one of my favorite towns in the world, New Hope, PA for our Easter weekend. We stayed and grabbed a beautiful king suite at the Logan Inn right next door to the steakhouse. We came and dined here at night after our long drive from the city. When you’re shelling out this kind of big bucks, you expect your service to be top notch because it’s considered fine dining. I say big bucks cause along with our steaks we order a bottle of Chianti. We got sat down in a nice booth, had two gentlemen servers, and a male Euro busser. As we placed our order with Caucasian looking shaved head server, when you come to a restaurant like this, you are usually offered bread and butter. We saw other diners in the room get it, but it wasn’t even offered to us at all. I can’t remember the nasty servers name(shaved head), maybe I chose to forget it, but Mason our other server was super nice was so friendly. Mind you, we ordered a bottle of flat water, and I kindly requested for lemon wedges for my water, 3 times. One from the shaved head server, then the European male(accent) busser, and then friendly Mason who grabbed my lemon wedges so quickly. The restaurant itself wasn’t busy, so you can’t tell me that you forgot cause it was so busy.Towards the end of my meal the same busser who I asked for lemon wedges, literally grabs my steak plate without asking me if I was done, and I had to stop him and tell him I’m not finished, there was a pretty big chunk of steak left on my late. It’s rude, it’s restaurant service 101, you don’t grab a diners plate without asking them if they are done with their meal.I will not be returning here again, unless you have workers like Mason, who make it a pleasant experience to dine here. 2 stars for food, it was okay-I’ve had better steaks. 1 star for service. 2 stars for atmosphere, there was an obvious scone light fixture that was out of lightbulbs(check video down below).

I've visited this restaurant three times over the past few years, hoping to see some improvement. They market themselves as a steakhouse, but they clearly struggle with cooking a filet or NY strip to medium rare; it often comes out black and blue. The staff and manager never seem to inquire about the issue or how they could enhance the experience. I recommend choosing places like Odettes, Logan, or even Roots Ocean Prime in Princeton instead. Unfortunately, I can cook a better steak at home, and the $300 I spent tonight was simply not worth it.
