There were several restaurants in Hazelton to choose from but we saw Rene through the window and she was smiling so we stopped. My husband LOVES his scrambled eggs breakfast. However, when he saw Chinese food on the menu, he did what I've never seen him do. He ordered sweet and sour chicken and two of the very best egg roles he's ever had. I had a traditional breakfast which was very tasty. View all feedback.
What Brad Weber doesn't like about BC Eagle Restaurant:
I had the beef with broccoli, which was actually quite good. The rest of our group ordered chow mein with an egg roll. My daughter said that the chow mein tasted like cup-of-soup without the liquid. I tried the egg rolls, and there was an unpleasant flavor. One of us had a Corona beer, which seems to have been several months (years?) old. Our hotel owner recommended the Tasty restaurant, but it was closed. View all feedback.

Food was good and filling. Service was the best part. I would return just to chat with the server again. She was so kind to my son!
Not many choices in Hazleton these days. This place is centrally located. Ambience - basic diner from days gone by. Service - gentle, friendly, efficient. Wait time - OK. Food - I ordered a combo with rice, noodles, veggies and chicken in sauce and dry garlic ribs. The sauce was gelatinous, the noodles uninspiring, and the ribs uninspiring. Next time I would stick with a basic e.g., sweet and sour pork. Portion size - generous. Cost - mid-range.
The food was good, and there was lots of it. Not the greatest Chinese food I've ever had, to be honest, but it was convenient (next to hotel) and it was open (unlike any other place in town that night!). It was good, not great--and you won't leave hungry! The dish was piled high. And we were very hungry!
Next door to Bulkley motel,a combined chinese and canadian restaurant.tried the chinese, set meal for 2 egg foo yung, with rice and noddles ?two carbs and one protein.Egg foo yung was an omlette with scallions and gravy, rice was fine but bland and noddles were just pasta. No sauce as in all the chinese i have used, found out later after we left most of meal that the chef is 1st nation ( local indian),even the locals all had hamburgers.so following day went to smithers round trip 110ks.Robs the local restaurant is closed mon/tues.when we were there
