Contribute FeedbackTemple Grill in New Haven received mixed reviews from diners. While some were disappointed with issues like poor communication, hidden charges, and mediocre service, others praised the varied salad options, creative specials, and generous portions. Despite complaints about parking and minor food quality issues, many visitors enjoyed the casual atmosphere, flavorful dishes, and friendly staff. Highlights included tasty drinks, delicious appetizers like sweet and spicy wings, and satisfying entrees such as seafood pot pie and London broil. Overall, Temple Grill seems to offer a unique dining experience with both positives and negatives to consider.
American grill (serves meat) with a vegan impossible burger and many self-made salad options, including many toppings that can make them into a plant-based meal. balsamico vinaigrette is vegan. it was very delicious.
The workers were so preoccupied with their handys that we had to ask for water, cutlery, serviettes and missing objects several times. I don't think I've seen a layman in my whole life. eating was half decent, but I would never be back bc service.
The restaurant was closed, after receiving the reservation confirmation twice (the times had to change, well before half an hour after the deadline requested). telephone number also not working.
Very worrying that I made a reservation for 11 o'clock on open table to park the car (platural) to foot to the temple grill to see a sign that they do not open until 11:30 o'clock. we then left our cars had to go another place to google, the hard brunch on a Saturday and to foot 5 blocks, so we did not find and pay for parking again very disappointed! they would think that someone from temple grill had seen our reservation before opening times and would have contacted me.
We were in town to show my nephew UNH and wanted somewhere quick to eat. This place has fantastic food, and great drinks. Nothing was expensive or overpriced and the portions were perfect sized for lunch. I had the fish and chips (half size), my wife had the meatloaf (half size) and my nephew had the Ravioli. My wife said it was some of the best meatloaf she has ever had and my nephew could not stop raving about the ravioli. This place is a win and if given the opportunity I will revisit. Parking was somewhat of a challenge. We ended up under the hotel across the street.
