Ordering from Mama Mary’s was my WORST dining experience ever! I was looking forward to some good ol’ soul food and was disappointed. It was no soul in the food nor any southern hospitality. The online prices are way cheaper then the actual prices. Mama Mary’s is a rip off. Please save your time money by not patronizing this establishment. If I could give them -0 stars I would. Wish I could give this place a zero. They robbing the community with their prices. Also they are charging sales tax of 7.35% which connecticut sales tax is 6.35%.. this is dirty practices.
Mama Mary’s has fallen off. I am so disappointed that my husband paid $54.31 for some watered down chopped bbq and some lack luster Mac-n- cheese. The food is wayyyyy over priced for the new smaller options. They don’t even have trays that the fit the food. Working on a Sunday and decided to go here for lunch, the food on the website looked pretty good, but there were many negative reviews. We ordered with no problem and the orders were taken by two grumpy hostesses. I asked for fried okra as one of my sides she curtly said, We don't got none So I ordered Cajun Wings well done, Collards, Rice and Mac and cheese. For some strange reason she ordered Stuffing and charged me for the rice! Wellll my order got lost in the shuffle. I had to ask a few times or an update on my order, but eventually a very nice older woman went to the back to look for my order. She gave me my order with any apology and we left! Wellll, we should've went to McDonalds, the food was grossly under seasoned, the wings were not well done, actually they were still red at the bone and definitely not Cajun. The collards were sweet, the Mac and cheese was soupy and looks as if it had cheese sauce on it, the Rice was good and the Stuffing I didn't touch. What a waste of $22.00! The one star was for the very nice woman that found my order! #NeverAgain #BelieveTheReviews
