While some dishes might lack a key ingredient—like basil in the drunken noodles—the overall flavor and perfect noodle texture impress diners. The restaurant is lauded for its excellent service, accommodating staff, and quick preparation times. Each dish, from scallion pancakes to curry-flavored Singapore noodles, consistently delights the palate. With plenty of vegetarian options, generous portion sizes, and a welcoming atmosphere, Basil not only satisfies hunger but also fosters a sense of community. A must-visit for anyone in the area!.
This restaurant offers the best Asian fusion cuisine in town. Our favorite dish is the pork buns - they are absolutely delicious! We never get tired of coming back here, sometimes even multiple times a week, because the food is just that good. The staff, especially the lady who works up front, is friendly and attentive. If you're looking for amazing food, this is the place to go!
"This restaurant offers delicious food at a very affordable price. The chicken and broccoli dish had a generous portion of chicken, unlike other Chinese restaurants that tend to be stingy with the meat. The establishment was clean and the service was prompt, with our food being delivered just 5 minutes after placing our order."
The food was fantastic and the menu was extensive, making it difficult to choose. The atmosphere was laid-back with welcoming staff.
Super sweet lady waited on us the the food and prices were fantastic!
Love this place. I think most of its business is take-out, as there is a parade of people picking up to-go orders, but there is plenty of seating and the food is best when hot and just made. I have only ever had the pork buns (which I ordered because of someone else's Google review) and the chow fun, and can't wait to go back the next time I'm in New Haven.
