They used to have a super delicious fish and chips, it was fresh and sooo yummy. They don't do the fresh fish and chips anymore, which is a little disapointing. I would recommand your fries always be poutined. I literally just had fries last time I was there, because of the freshly battered fish that they no longer serve. View all feedback.
What Emilie Davis doesn't like about Acro Lounge and Eatery:
Walked in to what i could only describe as a dance hall. The main area was dimly lit with no tables. We stood at the entrance and was not greeted by anyone. The atmosphere and smell with lack of service made us turn around after waiting a minute or two. I nor my family will not return. I wouldnt want to eat in tgis "eatery". It smells more like a bar... Beer and swill. View all feedback.
As someone from out of town looking to have a good time, I was disappointed by the unfriendly staff at this restaurant. The music was decent, playing typical top 40 hits, and the venue itself was clean. However, the overall atmosphere was boring and not very comfortable, unless you enjoy watching young women dance provocatively. I will not be coming back to this establishment.
I have visited this restaurant a few times for lunch with a coworker who has some experience in dining out. I decided to give it another try for lunch on Wednesday, despite hearing that the cooks were new (confirmed by the waitress). Unfortunately, I wish we hadn't. The service was slow and unfriendly, with an inattentive waitress who showed little interest in acknowledging us or the only other table in the restaurant. When I asked about the roasted veggie wrap, the waitress couldn't tell me what veggies were included, suggesting I could put whatever I wanted on it and some people prefer it cold. I opted for the chipotle maple chicken wrap instead, but it contained strange, hard pieces that were difficult to chew. It took about 30 minutes from ordering to receiving our first plates. Two out of our three meals arrived together, one was cold, and our third coworker had to wait almost 10 more minutes for her plate. The waitress would disappear for long periods, making it difficult to flag her down. She took away one plate and never returned, so I ended up leaving half of my meal on the table instead of asking for it to be boxed up. I had to search for her to pay our bill, and even after two of us paid, she disappeared into the kitchen before I could settle the bill, leaving me waiting while my colleagues went outside. This was the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I will not be returning unless there are significant improvements. Perhaps this place is better suited as a dance club at night, rather than a restaurant for a meal.

This is the first time I have eaten at this restaurant in New Glasgow. I can honestly say the food was really good. It tasted fresh, the greek salad was excellent and had a lot to it. I had their acro chicken burger and it was huge and tasty loaded with feta cheese and regular cheese. My boyfriend had the pork souvlaki dinner and he said his was really good as well. It was a little pricey, however not too bad. We had a couple of drinks each and they were mixed ok, the glasses they were served in where kind of small. The service wasn't that great, the waitress didn't really check back or anything to see if we wanted another drink, we had to go to the bar and ask for one. It wasn't really busy so not sure what the issue was. The interior is kind of drab and still reminds me of when it use to be Dooley's. It didn't seem like they did that much with it. Overall, good food, however service and atmosphere were lacking.
