Description

Part neighborhood staple, part mixed bag: this Culver’s earns praise for standout seafood—especially cod and shrimp—and addicting cheese curds served in a generally clean, casual spot with friendly staff and quick service. However, frequent drive‑thru and takeout errors, payment hiccups, inconsistent opening hours and occasional management indifference make visits hit‑or‑miss. Fries and sandwich rolls draw criticism, and some feel prices are high. Loyal regulars keep coming back, but inconsistency tempers the overall recommendation.

Terrible experience. There was a long line, so we opted for the table order option. After going through all the steps, my payment failed five times. The manager did absolutely nothing; they didn't even apologize or attempt to help us place the order. I won't be coming back again.

I have been quite disappointed with this Culver's lately. I understand that staffing issues are a challenge for restaurants everywhere, but I've noticed mistakes with my takeout orders almost every week for the past five or six months. I often receive items in the wrong sizes or sometimes not at all. Working in a restaurant myself, I know how difficult takeout can be; once the order leaves the restaurant, it’s impossible to correct mistakes. This is why it’s crucial for staff to double-check orders to avoid frustrating customers. At this point, I’m beginning to feel that it may not be worth my time to stop here anymore.

What a great Culvers one of you cleanest ones around. The G.M. (Santa) is a nice gay to have around and can always help you out to your car. This location is on the way to the dispensary so a must stop on the way back.

I had a pretty good cod meal here recently. It was done very well and served very hot. The fries were hot but still could be better. The roll was real mushy and like wonder bread. The price was equivalent to what I'd expect to pay for a nice fish meal at a sit down restaurant. So to me it was overpriced. They did cancel selling the walleye and I asked about it and they said it was because walleye is over fished and they only carried it at a certain time of the year. So I thought that was cool. Culvers is ok for a quick meal but for the money you are better off paying the same at a nice restaurant for better food. Seriously though, people are really being fooled by this place because the food could be a whole lot better. Update: My last review for here was in 2011. July 2, 2015. I decided to stop by here for their cod because their fish is pretty good, but tonight it was awesome. Fried perfectly and all tender and delicious inside. Fries were pretty good too. But the thing that surprised me most was the shrimp. I wanted something more than just fish and decided to get a small order of shrimp. I did this against my better judgement because I have had some of the worst shrimp at Culvers. But tonight the shrimp was some of the best breaded shrimp I have had for a long long time. Am I ever glad I tried this again because now I'm coming back soon for some more of that wonderful shrimp. Who is working this kitchen? Perfectly fried and shrimp was tender, moist, delicious. So very good. I up Culver's two stars at this outlet for a truly wonderful meal. Worth every penny. Update: I keep going back for the delicious fish and they have maintained the quality. The roll should be replaced with a whole grain roll and the fries still need improvement. They are too soft, not crispy goodness of what a fry should be. The coleslaw is greatly improved. I used to not get it. Lately it has been perfect and delicious. The tartar sauce has improved. It is much better now. I have gotten some spoiled sauce in the past. They did mess up my order so I had to go back. They corrected the mistake but no apology. Disappointing. I expected an apology and a coupon for a free shake or cone or something. I know people who claim their burgers are terrific. I don't agree. I am not going to go into details because they are just a fast food restaurant and for that the burgers are better than at most fast food chains. I would still order a Burger King burger over a Culvers. But the fish! OMG! Really, really good fish.

Always reliable. Food and service are great for fast food. Fries are always hot as they cook to order. Save room for custard. It's the best.
