Absolutely fantastic place for a glass of wine but not exclusively there is beer and an excellent range of cocktails available too. I simply couldn’t recommend this place enough, become somewhat of a local for me. View all feedback.
What Damien Shaw doesn't like about The Cellar Tasting House Wine Merchant:
Went on the recommendation of family. However, employees/ owner are rude and on their phone all evening distant from their cliental. Wine is cold despite their supposed pride in high quality wine, would be a zero star but unfortunately that isn’t an option. Would love...to support a local business but when the employees/ owner think they’re above you it brings a poor atmosphere and abysmal customer service. View all feedback.
Had a great evening, excellent, knowledgeable staff, entertaining atmosphere and tried four great weeping in one of them chosen flight, all excellent. also amusing me that they sell alcohol in the old customs house! highly recommended

My husband and I were staying in Lymington on the same street as The Cellar, at first we thought it was a wine shop, but we were recommended to visit by the lady in Osbourne Taylors on the High Street. (a lovely shop). What an...amazing selection of practically anything with alcohol in it. I tried some of their own cocktails which were second to none. My husband enjoyed some of the unusual beers. The staff were attentive and what they didn't know about drinks wasn't worth knowing. The place is small, quirky and classy. We loved everything about it. We are definitely returning to Lymington as we have fallen in love with the place and The Cellar will be our first port of call.
We stopped off for two visits during our stay in Lymington. A lovely atmosphere in this very small establishment especially when they light the candles. Great service , wine , cocktails and snacks. Definitely worth a visit.
Down the cobbled lane between downtown Lymington and the quayside hides this fabulous bar/cellar/gin house. Great cocktails. Fantastic selection of gins. Wine/gin/whisky tasting flights. Great cheese, charcuterie. What’s not to like. Small, cosy, intimate. The perfect place for a **** Mary brunch, boozy lunch, pre...dinner tipple or a totally lost evening. Highly recommended.
