We recently dined at 'Seashells' for the first time, even though we've lived in the area for years. The food was fantastic and the portions were generous. Additionally, the service was very welcoming and quick. We didn't feel any pressure to rush through our meal. The ambiance was lovely, creating a great dining experience. We were left wondering why we hadn't tried this restaurant sooner, and we will definitely be back.
I hope it's true that Seashells, our favorite restaurant, is staying open! Does anyone have more information or confirmation? My friend and I had a great time enjoying the specials and drinks. The service was excellent and the views were unbeatable. It would be great news if the restaurant is staying in business, especially for Christmas parties.
Perfect spot for lunch on a sunny day. My partner and I had lunch here outside on the terrace overlooking Hythe pier and Southampton Water. I have eaten here several times with my sister but it was a first for my partner. We both chose the seafood linguini which was excellent. The risotto and the omlettes are also excellent. We look forward to returning soon.
WOW. The best breakfast I've ever had. Utterly superb. The waiting staff couldn't do enough for me. Superb views of Southampton Water. What other restaurant gives you these views. It'll be criminal when it's forced to close through Greed for flats to be built. Please come and visit this Goldmine of a Restaurant
I wasn’t happy with the happiness of the staff as we didn’t even get a smile from one of them, also a major downside was the glasses weren’t clean, and the fork I nearly used had left over mash on it which isn’t very hygienic for me or any customers that eat here. We was recommended this by the general public after asking where to go but wouldn’t recommend this to anyone else due to this Manor

What a great find! Sadly, the actual entrance to Seashells Restaurant is incredibly shabby (needs a sweep, a good coat of paint and maybe a heavy planter? so much so that we nearly decided to give it a miss but having phoned to check that they could indeed do #glutenfree fish chips we went in. Fabulous location overlooking #waterfront Hythe Pier with views right across to Southampton! Great #gf fish chips, but also quite extensive menu. Staff very friendly and helpful. The owner really should do something about the entrance it lets restaurant and their team down. Dietary restrictions: Staff knowledgable and helpful.
Lovely views, great food and reasonably priced. Staff were a bit slow and spent a lot of time stood around chatting at the bar while guests were waiting to be seen/pay! But were very friendly and polite when serving and talking to customers. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

The Seashells is the perfect place to relax eat Quality food.Friendly Staff.Has the best view of the River and see Magnificient Liners Departing.I go there regularly.

I'm visiting from the Isle of Wight, so I'm not familiar with the area. I was looking for a seafood restaurant with a sea view and found Seashells. It was about a 40-minute drive, but we had some time to spare, so we decided to go for it. I'm so glad we did! The food was amazing and exceeded my expectations. Everything was delicious. Although I've never been one to waste food, we couldn't resist trying a dessert, and it was fantastic. I will definitely be back when I'm on the mainland!
Large menu, efficient, friendly staff, great menu had the hard fish delish! Beyond that they sat on the terrace, over which search for solent waters saw the ships sail past. perfect evening.
I absolutely love this restaurant and visit it regularly. It offers great value, and the staff are incredibly polite and helpful. It's a true pleasure to sit down for coffee, a meal, or even both. With a fantastic atmosphere, friendly and accommodating staff, delicious coffee, and tasty food, this place has become one of my favorites!
