The food was fantastic and the service was exceptional! My husband follows a gluten-free diet, and the staff made sure to accommodate his needs by providing gluten-free bread and beer upon request.
My partner and I dined at this restaurant while staying at Careys Manor hotel. The vegan menu had a nice variety of options, with two starters, two main courses, and two desserts. The service was a bit slow, but the food was delicious. The staff was friendly, and the sommelier was especially knowledgeable and helpful. We would definitely come back here again.
My main concern was that the information provided regarding food allergies when making the reservation did not seem to have been communicated to the kitchen or servers. When I inquired about nuts in a dish, the waiter seemed surprised to learn about my nut intolerance, even though it was clearly stated on the booking form. We had to request the vegan dessert menu as it was not offered to us automatically.
Had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant as part of our visit to Carey’s manor. We shared starters of which the duck parpadelle was delicious and mains again well presented, perfect portions and fantastic flavours. With only a little room left we shared the baked Alaska which again was fantastic. The staff were lovely and attentive as well as being very knowledgable! Would love to visit again!
