We found Pablo last weekend in New Farm and had Sunday brunch. Good food served in an interesting way complemented by good coffee and friendly service. The place is small - just two rooms basically - and it can be crowded but that adds to its charm. A good place to go if you want something a little different. View all feedback.

Since it changed hands, I hadn't been to lunch here. It hasn't changed much, but there is a better a/c inside the dining s room. It is still packed at lunchtime, and there's still a long wait for good food to be delivered. Having said tthat, I like the food but it's getting a bit "samey", as almost all the breakfast options have eggs and bread in them, or are sweet. There are four or five lunch options including salads or burgers. We had the beetroot and pumpkin salad with nicely fried feta on top (hot, brown and crispy). The bed of herbs was interesting, but both of us would have preferred mixed leaves or greens, spinach or lettuce. The third friend had an avo on sourdough and was happy with it.We all chose the mixed berry smoottie and enjoyed it.Service is very slow, and always has been. THe kitchen takes ages to get the food out. Is it time to include some dishes that are prepared ahead: definitely! More dishes without eggs please, and more fresh fruit drinks, without ice.I used to rate this four stars, but feel it merits 3.5 these days. It is better than "average" but doesn't really rate the "very good" option. A work in progress where the new owners are trying to build on what was a real local success. There are no cheap meals here, but it's tasty.
The dining experience at this restaurant is fantastic, with delicious and well-portioned meals. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and very attentive. There are many seating options available. The children's menu is amazing, with a coloring book, a baby theater with toys and chocolates, orange juice in a child-friendly cup, and a huge waffle with ice cream. I highly recommend trying the coffee as well.
We went the Hemsworthy Bowl (with bacon) and the Hafner's Mushrooms (with brisket) both were delicious. Coffee was very respectable. My only gripes were services was slow and it was slightly over priced. But these are first world problems and this is a solid brekkie...joint.
A very friendly coffee shop and cafe near the corner of James St and Merthyr road. The team go out of their way to make great generous sized healthy meals for breakfast brunch and lunch. The coffee is terrific too!!
