Montezuma's the Original - New Farm

I live a two hour drive from this restaurant and when I'm in Brisbane I always plan my trip so that I can have a meal here. I've been coming to this restaurant for about 30 years and the food is still fantastic.

I'm a big fan of Mexican food, so I was really looking forward to dining at this restaurant. The staff were all very welcoming and accommodating and the prices were quite OK. The meals themselves were really just average. I felt as though, for the price, they were a bit undersized and well overcooked. Overall, it wasn't too bad but I've definitely eaten at many, many better Mexican restaurants.

I did not see any mexicans inside only some victorian travellers[by the way they are called mexican in the country], pancho villa was not in ,as i doubt i will like this so called mexican, me be the ghost of general antonio lopez de santa anna will come to get the coup de grace

On our vacation we ended up in this Mexican because it was not far from our accommodation and we passed it after an evening walk. We were greeted warmly and could choose from many tables, as it was during the week and not much going on was. The menu that was brought to us also contained pictures of the individual dishes, but the pictures did not look particularly appealing; perhaps it would be better to forego such pictures or use correspondingly appetizing pictures. We had the "Combination Dinner" once "Carne" and once "Special". The "Carne" variant was tasty, but could have been a little more spicy, the same applies to the "Special" variant. The rice was a bit dry and hard, however. I got the impression that it was already on the plate when it was gratinated - all in all, an average impression with friendly service.

The food at this restaurant is consistently delicious, the staff is very friendly, and the meals are served quickly and made with fresh ingredients.
