Stoltzfus Sausage Sandwiches

I had been eyeing the New Castle Farmer's Market since moving to Delaware, particularly the Stoltzfus shops. For my first visit, I tried the breakfast special at the sausage sandwich shop. I opted for the mild sausage with eggs, cheese, and veggies on a sausage roll, served with a hashbrown and drink for around $10. The sausage was juicy with the right snap, eggs were fluffy, but needed a bit of salt. The roll held everything together well, but the hashbrown was a bit greasy and small. There is seating behind the stand by Stoltzfus' bakery where you can enjoy your meal. The Farmer's Market atmosphere is simple and functional. I plan to try their lunch menu next time. Parking is ample with designated spaces for those with disabilities and automatic doors for easy access. Don't forget to grab juice from the nearby counter for breakfast. Definitely worth a visit for breakfast.

A friend of mine tried the plain cheese steak and found the meat to be well-seasoned, but felt that the cheese didn't quite complement the sandwich. The customer service was fantastic, with everyone in the back smiling and seeming happy to serve. Overall, I would give this restaurant an 8/10 rating.

We typically visit the New Castle Farmers Market on Sundays when it's closed, but if we have the time, we always make sure to stop by here. The food is delicious and there is always a line when you arrive. The menu is extensive, so there are plenty of options beyond just sausage. While you can find cheese steaks and burgers at many places, I recommend trying the sausage here and savoring every bite.

My husband ordered the favorite of sausage and pepper. He totally enjoyed it. I ordered a sausage w/ swiss and mushrooms. Both flavors are good separately, but I don't think it was on ideal mix. The sweet potato fries were fresh, hot and delicious!

Whether you order a turkey or pork sausage, hot or mild, order it with peppers, onions, and sauce. You can’t go wrong. They also have some great sides. The staff are friendly and orders come up pretty quickly.
