Smithfield 's Chicken 'n -b-q

I've never had a bad experience here. The food is delicious and consistent. The kids love the hushpuppies and fried chicken. I'm more of a sides girl myself! The brunswick stew, baked beans, Coleslaw, and potato salad are my favorite! And I can't forget to mention the bbq. It's traditional NC vinegar based bbq and it's always a safe bet. Slap it on a bun with their coleslaw and you can't beat it! I've also had their shrimp plates, which are on point as well! Can't go wrong at this one. Now I'm hungry. ?

Stopped here and ate while traveling because they had a well needed Tesla supercharger. The place was outstanding. We waked in and 3 people offered a genuine hello -not the tired, forced hello often heard. The employees were smiling and happy. The food was spectacular! It came out of the kitchen fast, hot, fresh and very tasty. In fact, that meal was the best meal we had our entire vacation- who knew a chicken/BbQ joint would surpass some of those self declared fancy and best restaurants on the coast. They can all kick rocks- Smithfield’s beat them. The four of us ordered BBQ plate, fried chicken and chicken tenders and fries. NC folks don’t do bbq sauce like us Tennesseans so that was a trip. They have “red sauce” instead. I took thr challenge and gave it a taste. I have to say I wasn’t a fan of the red stuff but the BBQ meat was tasty without. The Tesla supercharger rocked too, we were all charged up as soon as we finished dinner.

We so enjoyed our visit to Smithfields. We do not have Smithfields in NH. They have the best sweet tea, and we brought some back to NH. They have a large variety on the menu. Everything we ordered was delicious and were large portions. The service was excellent.

The food was great. The staff were very good, they were friendly and were checking if we needed refills or anything else regularly. This was great seeing there isn't table service here, you order at the counter. The store was also very clean and nice looking inside.

I ordered a chicken sandwich. It was nothing but 2 chicken fingers ans bun. No mayo, pickle, lettuce tomato, nothing. Wasn't asked what I wanted on it. Really?
