Lawson's Landing Riverwalk Cafe

This was a surprising place to discover. Modern vibe, great service and fantastic views over the water from inside (and in good weather) outside the cafe. There were a number of items on the menu that change seasonally and nice variations on your standard fare. The grilled cheese sandwich was excellent and the chili bowl was much larger than I expected. I would definitely return here on my next visit to New Bern. Thumbs up for: service, menu variety taste, cleanliness, modern decor, outstanding views.

We enjoyed our lunch at Lawson's Landing. They provide the perfect combination of quality food at a reasonable price. The location overlooking the river was delightful. The staff was friendly and attended to our needs. Recommend on your next trip to New Bern.

Food and service was outstanding. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed the good food and the beautiful view. Short ribs and grits were so rich and filling. ****** Mary was on point! Cran-Apple mimosas were bottomless for $11! Caprese Benedict was fresh and tasty. Dessert was great! Fresh Neapolitan cake and lemon marscapone cake was split between the two of us. Highly recommend it to anyone in the area.

Lovely! Loved it! Loved the brunch today! I've been to New Bern before so we visited some old faves on this trip, but Lawson's Landing Riverwalk Cafe was a new one for us. We arrived at 11:45am intentionally because we didn't want to have to wait too long for those Bottomless Mimosas. Our friends arrived shortly thereafter. Two of us, including myself, had the Bananas Foster French Toast. A long time ago I worked at a restaurant that served Bananas Foster French Toast so I've had some good servings of this dish. Lawson's served it beautifully with tons of flavor and the side of bacon was cooked perfectly. The other gentleman at the table also had the French toast, but he enjoyed some large sausage links with his and was quite pleased with their flavor. His wife had a chicken caesar salad and my date had an omelette. All dishes were consumed in entirety. Three of the four of us indulged in the mimosas. Our server kept them coming without missing a beat and had a sweet smile with every visit to our table. If it had been a bit cooler, we might have sat outside so we could see the river, but we chose to sit inside. Very nicely set tables with beautiful cloth tablecloths and napkins. The bathrooms were even nice. The Ladies room had an elegant sitting chair in there. Very impressed and pleased with this recommendation. Great service and fantastic food!
