Arturo's Mexican Restaurant - New Bern

Eating is okay. Yeah, I'd eat there again. My Mexican food in California was fully engaged. So my expectations were not met.

Had to change my rating to 1 star as this place is an absolute demolition! There are many places in New Bern to get large Mexican cuisine, do not choose Arturos! You'll charge you for things without saying a word... including WATER! AVOID!

I used to be happy to go to this restaurant, but an experience I had today cleaned me up in the facility. I had a voucher from a local publication, suggesting that I could get 1/2 on a lunch combination. My wife and I ordered from the lunch combo menu, but when I went to pay, I noticed that the price was higher than the price listed on the menu. The reason? It was a Sunday and the very fine print on the menu shows that lunch combos are only available Monday to Saturday. Worse, the guy in the register would not accept my voucher, even at the higher price, although there were no signs that it was not valid on Sunday. I accuse the server to a certain extent not to point out that the lunch combinations were not available on Sunday. All-in-all, a very disappointing experience and an example of bad customer relationships.

There is always a waitress who has attitude and sleeps the menu from our hands. Everyone has a bad day, but every time? In the last two months it was probably 5 or 6 times. El Cerro is not much if better. Just tired of the settings.

First time at Arturo?s. The food was surprisingly good. Generous portions, great taste, nice presentation. The Nachos de Mar is especially recommended. Sometimes they have a bartender, sometimes they don?t. If they don?t, your only cocktail will be Margaritas. The Margaritas are awesome, but the substantial bar is wasted. Your food comes all at once. If you order appetizers, salads or soups hold off ordering your entree until you are ready for it. You are the brakes here. The deserts, if you have any room left are awesome.
