I've dined here many times over the years, and despite the new restaurants that have opened nearby, I still find myself returning here, often as a starting point before heading downtown. I've never had a meal I didn't enjoy. Their martinis are excellent, served with a generous sidecar and a strainer cover to avoid ice splatter. The chowders are still outstanding—definitely give them a try!
I enjoyed a fantastic clam chowder, while my friend had an outstanding burger. They offer a great selection of draft beers and have a full bar. The restaurant is located in a beautifully maintained old building and features an extensive menu with soups, salads, sandwiches, and main dishes. It's conveniently situated just a block away from the whaling museum, and the prices are quite reasonable.
