Alexander Italian - New Albany

We had planned to eat at another restaurant but they were closed. We decided to try Castelluccio's and we were not disappointed. Delicious food and outstanding staff. If we are ever back in town we will definitely go back.

My husband and I had reservations last night at 8pm. We got there 15 minutes early but they were able to seat us within 5 mins. Atmosphere was pretty chill and laid back. We ordered a café luccio, which was pretty amazing for coffee. Had a glass of Cabernet and pink moscato. They were good. I ordered the chicken piccata and sautéed spinach. I ate at Café 157 the other day and was pleased to find such a variety of flavors in downtown New Albany. They have a standard menu of items that are available every day, and a menu of daily specials. I chose the Vietnamese banh mi sandwich and a Vietnamese spring roll. They were delicious. The professional chef knows what he’s doing.

A delightfully sunny corner cafe with good food and some nice artwork to peruse and/or buy, in an historic area just across the river from Louisville, Kentucky.
