We weren't served here. Instead, we would not be respected and treated like air. We sat about 8 to 10m away at a table not covered. Even in 3 times demand, we w... read more We weren't served here. Instead, we would not be respected and treated like air. We sat about 8 to 10m away at a table not covered. Even in 3 times demand, we were not offered space for 8 people, although this would have been possible. And even 2 tables were free!! (But none of them are ready for 8 people. The greatest thing: one of the 2 service personnel, treated me like air. When I finally complained about the second, they tried to steer them and explained that the tables that were not covered would not be served and they would also be only two in the service and two in the kitchen, they would not make it.... Incomprehensible, as at most other tables only 2 people were sitting and at the 2 free tables together 14 seats. Suddenly both tables were on demand, not just a table reserved etc.... the odd reasons.... So kindness was a foreign word. The second service was nice and said we should have asked her (because she apparently doesn't think much of her colleague... We went to the next place where we were not treated like people of second choice....

Accompanied by a great Riesling, and Prinz Old Prune. Just AMAZING!!!

But service is way too slow, especially when with children. The main course took 30min to arrive with the kids' plates served the last (and it was just a bratwurst with rösti). But worse, the ice cream for the kids took 30min to get delivered... Parking is very reduced by the castle, so best is to park by the city entrance and walk across the old town.

It was a magnificent setting with disappointing,expensive food.
