Bei den Hauptspeisen war die eine ess... read more Wir haben in der Veranda Bar auf der Terrasse zu Abend gegessen. Die eine Vorspeise war sehr gut, die zweite mittelmässig. Bei den Hauptspeisen war die eine essbar, die zweite ungeniessbar. Wir mussten auf Vorspeise und Hauptspeise je ca eine Dreiviertelstunde warten. Das Warten hat sich nicht gelohnt. Die eine Speise ein Burger für 35 .- war trocken, die Sosse eklig und die Pommes weich. Nachdem ich meine Kritik mitgeteilt habe ist nichts passiert, erst nach Nachfrage ist der chef de Service vorbeigekommen und hat mir vorgeworfen, dass ich mich umgehend hätte melden müssend, dass es am kalten Wind liegt, dass das Essen so sei wie es ist. Dies ist nicht die Antwort die man als frustrierter Gast erwartet. Das Lokal ist aus meiner Sicht schlecht geführt, das Personal schlecht geschult. Das Essen hat für zwei Personen mit Getränken 150.- gekostet, und steht Qualitativ in gar keiner Relation zum Preis.

We waited to get menus and our order. We waited longer for our food (almost an hour). When the order came, it was wrong. All tables around us complained about the service and the restaurant. We waited again to order the bill. We waited something, the bill didn't come. We asked the waiter for the bill again, wait 20-30 minutes. Although we have not made a comment, he must have seen our impatient faces, because he had the cheek to tell us you know if you don't ask for the bill, then we don't bring it automatically! When we remembered that we had already ordered the bill and he had forgotten, he was quite embarrassing. For us it was just too much to get Wange from the waiter after such a terrible service. I sincerely hope we never have to go to this restaurant again. The prices are too high for what it is.

We tried the cattle and fish burgers, beef and salmon stars. Everything was delicious, including the frits that came with every meal. Service was friendly and attentive. They were a little slow with the bill, but it was pretty full and busy. All in all, we had a wonderful meal with a beautiful view of the lake.

The service in place is all smiles and polite, but unfortunately they have the tendency to bring food into all wrong order and including ingredients that were asked not to see as if they choose to ignore the customer an unacceptable situation in a 5-star operation. Some time ago we went to lunch with dessert and my ice cream was served in front of the main when I complained, they decided to put the ice Sunday in the freezer only to put the same with frozen whipped cream and fruit 40 minutes later than when doing a normal thing. On the other weekend we ordered Cesar Salads and asked that those who don't have anchovies that we can of course not stand out, the anchovies were proudly presented to small pieces of toast on the top of the salad. When we complained that the fillets were removed in the kitchen and the same salads served with the same ugly oil soaked pieces of toast... as if it's the natural thing to do... what asks me... if they have a guest who wants to be kept away from their plate for certain ingredients, can't they take the appropriate note? Didn't they hear about fatal food allergies? In serious cases, this can lead to serious and life-threatening episodes. Absolutely careless and not within a 5-star facility. Simply put, if you have any special nutritional requirements, stay away from their food as they can easily do you harm with a smile on their faces. To just enjoy great location and they are not much to choose on Sunday in Neuchatel, so it is either home or Dine here...
