Expect rude and condescending service. The great view attracts tourists into their restaurant. Once you’re seated (which you’ll find a challenge, especially if... read more Expect rude and condescending service. The great view attracts tourists into their restaurant. Once you’re seated (which you’ll find a challenge, especially if you’re a solo traveller). I was seated in the back without a view, even though there were plenty of unoccupied tables overlooking the Mediterrean. The food was expensive and the seafood risotto had virtually no seafood, which was served on a bed of bland unseasoned rice. The service staff was curt and unfriendly. Nobody smiled and treated guests poorly; there was a sense of impatience and agitation which I overheard from the adjacent table. There is a reason why so many reviews about this restaurant have been poor. Pick another restaurant and avoid disappointment. Do not go to this restaurant; an unfortunate experience.

We tried... read more We had a great experience at Portofino. The views are incredible! We ate out on the terrace overlooking the beach at the base of the Balcony de Europa. We tried two of the fresh pasta dishes. One stuffed with grilled eggplant and the other stuffed with pear in a sweet Gorgonzola sauce. Both dishes were outstanding. They were perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. Our table also hade a chicken in pink sauce and a juicy, delicious hamburger. The wait staff was friendly and took care to ensure we enjoyed our meal.

He very r... read more First we were positively surprised by the friendly staff (old lady). But then the aggressive staff guy came and destroyed all our positive impression. He very rudely fronted my amigo for vaping outside on the terrace (no roof or whatsoever). We told the guy that he could also tell him more friendly since we weren't aware that its not allowed because its outside. The aggressive staff guy then got very loud in the calm dinner setting and insisted, that he is friendly. When we cancelled our outstanding order with others, he came again and shouted what the problem was?! I feel very sorry for the other staff members who were very friendly. Hopefully they fire the rude guy, but probably its the manager. No sense of customer service at all. Pure looser.
