The service is disastrous, we waited 45 minutes for someone to take our order but the staff were completely disinterested. Don't spoil an otherwise very pleasant experience by ending here, go down to Nerja instead.

After visiting the caves we needed to refresh ourselves, and take a comfort break, so we took advantage of the onsite restaurant (not really – it was a café wit... read more After visiting the caves we needed to refresh ourselves, and take a comfort break, so we took advantage of the onsite restaurant (not really – it was a café with table service). We had a good strong coffee, and a cold water each. We enjoyed this whilst taking-in the stunning views over the nearby village of Maro and onto the coast beyond. The drinks were very welcome, but I have to advise that I had to ask three times for our bill. I really struggle to understand why waiting-staff fail to produce bills promptly on request. After all, we have finished, and not going to spend more, as we want to get on our way. Once we leave there is also a table available for more customers! Mostly waiting-staff seem to avoid looking at you once you have finished, and get to the stage of paying-up, and I cannot understand why!
