Great authentic Italian restaurant in Nerja. We were a group of 6 and everyone enjoyed their meal. The pasta specialities were delicious, the seafood ravioli and truffle ravioli in particular. Pizza very good also. Friendly and efficient service. Cater very well for kids too, lots of families eating there

Had a really lovely lunch here. Staff were really welcoming and friendly. We ordered pizzas which were fab super tasty. All washed down with a couple of glasses of Rioja. We enjoyed our lunch so much that we returned the day after only to find it closed! However, we will be back!

Having suffered a massively-disappointing meal at another Italian restaurant, earlier in this holiday, we decided we would visit this very-attractive Italian Restaurant, and get a proper Italian meal. It was the last evening of our holiday, and we had deliberately not committed so the we could have a free choice. Having made our decision to dine here that evening, we walked to the restaurant at lunchtime and made our reservation in person. This restaurant is located in the Balcon de Europa area, directly north of the outcrop that is the ‘Balcon’. There is an enclosed plaza just east of the Tourist Information Office which is home to several restaurants, including Bella Roma. On our arrival that evening we found the restaurant was heaving with happy looking diners. We were promptly shown to our table on the plaza area forward of the open-fronted indoor dining area. We could see that the indoor dining-room was classically appointed with what appeared to be marble covered walls, with quality furnishings and furniture. The seating outside was comfortable, and of good quality too. We were provided with menus and we quickly ordered still and sparkling water, and a bottle of wine; a Rueda Montespina Sauvignon Blanc. This wine had fresh acidity on the tongue, together with some herbal and creamy notes that were pleasing on the palate, with just a hint of tropical fruit on the long finish. It felt like a quality wine, but as it was selling here at a tad under €19, it was a truly excellent cheap wine. To start, my Partner had ‘Bruschetta Aglio’ with garlic, olive oil and Mozzarella. This was very pleasant and much enjoyed. I am a bit of a hobbit when it comes to fungi, so the ‘Mixed Wild Mushrooms’ served with a salad garnish, were a must-have plate for me. These were excellent and such a generous serving too. For mains we both chose to have pizza: selecting the ‘Tonino’ from the impressive list. The pizzas had a lovely soft crust with a good sprinkling of cheese, plenty of tomato and herbs, plus the pepperoni and prosciutto meats. Just a lovely plate of great pizza! Whilst eating the pizza I ran out of wine and ordered a glass of the Rueda Montespina Verdejo: it was really enjoyed: good acidity and a medium-long, slightly bitter finish. Desserts followed, a much praised Tartufo Limoncello for my Partner, and a very good Tiramisu for me. Coffee followed with my Partner taking a Latte, whereas I took an Americano. It was a really very good proper Italian meal, and the ambience and service suited the occasion, and nothing disappointed us in any way.

Food was beautiful. I had the handmade gnocchi and it was 10/10. Service was fantastic, couldn’t fault it at all. Very good value for money
