Shark river salad is my favorite salad around. Everything is always great from here! Hoping for one day they'll have dairy free cheese so I can have the pizza. :

The Grandma/Margarita Pie is hands down the best pizza around. The sesame seed crust is amazing!

This place is a small treasure. Good pizza andsabdwiches . Great omelets with the best home fries anywhere. Also real homemade macaroni salad and potato salad. Anything you order is good.

Never Disappoints! The salsa with the breakfast burrito is super tasty. Highly recommend!

John’s Cracker Barrel – The Hidden Gem of Shark River Hills and the Jersey Shore Since the 1920s! John’s cracker barrel has served the Shark River Hills community and also with pizza, sauces, salads and much more. Today it is a wonderful deli, pizzeria, barbecue and coffee shop that has been renovated in a beautiful neighborhood family-friendly facility under new management. I always loved this place and has been regular for over thirty years. Everything is fresh and specially made. The sub-sandwiches are huge and, in my opinion, the best on the Jersey Shore. The food is always fresh and prepared with special care. I am a former Deputy Commissioner for Health for New Jersey and former President of the New Jersey Public Health Association and give them an A for Health and Cleanliness. The entire staff really cares and it shows! I loved the healthy fruit selection of bananas, grapes, apples, pears and blueberries right at the checkout. A wonderful alternative to sweets for children. The menu is unbelievable and goes beyond and beyond to complete entrees served with sown salad and bread, appetizers, soup, salads, desserts, paninis, Greek specialities, both gourmet and red pizza and the best subs and sandwiches. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and can eat indoors, eat outdoors, get out or deliver. The cracker barrel is a great place to start your day! My wife is a connoisseur of great coffee and they grind their own beans on site and have a variety of breakfast options. Our youngest daughter loves her pork roll, eggs and cheese sandwiches she will buy on her way to school. I think this is a more beautiful environment than any of these national expensive coffee houses. If you go in your boat for the day or go fishing the cracker barrel is a favorite stop for the local Shark River Municipal Marina and the Shark River Beach and Yacht Club to buy subs, sandwiches, soda, coffee and even ice cream for their maritime adventure. You even have catering! On beautiful days I love eating outside on one of their little tables. You will see many people take coffee and a sandwich, eat outside and read a book or check their email. They have a beautiful small area with larger outdoor tables with parasols through their ice windows. Inside there is a very intimate dining area with a beautiful view of the Shark River, located on the side of the food area. The interior was redesigned with beautiful photos of the local area by a professional photographer. John’s Cracker Barrel offers a safe and friendly environment for children to meet after school and buy some treats or ice cream. All our children enjoy going there and those who are on their own love come back to have dinner at their favorite place they loved while they grow up.
