What Eric D doesn't like about Bittersweet Cafe In Farm:
We have been to Bittersweet many times over the past few years and looked forward to a nice lunch. food was good but the wait time to receive our food was 40 minutes-with a handful of other customers. Could have done better View all feedback.
This café was a very cute, homey, Christian, farm to table scratch kitchen that we adored. The food was fantastic albeit it took a long time to receive our order. When you walk in you stand in line and order from the counter. There’s a chalkboard menu above the counter, you get a number for your table you go find a table and you sit and wait for your meal. It did take a while for the meal to come out. But it was worth it. We would go there again because the menu was fantastic and very eclectic and gourmet, and made to order with the freshest ingredients.
Love this little slice of civilization in the woods— atmosphere is great, food is very good, everyone has been friendly my last 2 visits. But, I have some suggestions for improvement— after waiting in lines and for these prices. Serving large sandwiches w sauces or mayos that leak out of sandwiches eg BLT, on boards….it would be better to have plates and cutlery so you can catch and eat what slides out! I have had to ask for napkins too— really? You know the sandwiches are messy! If you order cappuccino it will be served without sweetener, stirrer, napkin so don’t forget to ask for sweetener like at Starbucks or that is another trip to the bar for you or the waitress ?!?! Lastly, every time the ladies room is out of paper products. Perhaps a storage bin in that large room would minimize inconvenience for staff and customers during busy days! Hope these comments are received as well intentioned!
We stopped in here after visiting Frank Lloyd Wright’s FallingWater and could not have made a better choice. The grilled cheese with tomato and bacon was perfectly prepared and the tomatoes were so wonderful. Then I talked to Clay who recommended the double chocolate raspberry torte. Wow, what a brilliant decision to get this little slice of heaven. Stop on by, you won’t be disappointed.
Great food, friendly staff, and great guard cat. Perfect stop on the way to Falling Water.
Amazing gardens and ambience! Food was good, albeit pricey! We’ll be back! Dog friendly!
