Wait for Nelson was great. The waiter we had with the name Tom was polite, served us quickly and was knowledgeable with the menu. He ran the diner as if he had it! Worker is hard to find and I recommend the diner if you're ever in Nelson! Quality food, quality service from Tom, what more do you want! View all feedback.
Great little restaurant! For people that love old school, simple, fresh and honest food. The decor is very retro 50s-70s diner vibes, old glass bottles on shelves, checkerboard painted walls, vinyl records and various local artwork. If that's not your thing then don't judge a book by its cover either. The menu is fairly simple, breakfast in all its forms, a variety of sandwichs, burgers, hot dogs, sides, and rotating soup daily. Everything is obviously cooked to order and made with fresh in house ingredients. You can just tell, and its delicious! Nothing fancy, nothing finicky or overtop, just simplicity at its best. Definitely highly recommended! If I lived in the area I would go all the time. The only small downside is there is no AC inside, so it can get a little warm.
Great service! A group of 7 of us came in while they were very very busy and they still went above and beyond to accomodate us and get us a spot! The breakfast portions are big and the shredded potatoes with garlic are the absolute best!
The staff was really kind, and when I ordered the food I waited maybe 5 minutes and my food was there... I like this restaurant because it doesn't have the super rich vibe and the food tastes home made. 100% reccommend this place
Stopped in for breakfast onWednesday on our way to Osoyoos after staying in Nelson. We found it quite by accident as we drove out to find our highway and realized we were going in tge wring direction! Tge diner is red white and black with great touches of old LP's, bottles, and antiques! Lively. The restaurant is clean and the food was amazing. Great basted eggs cooked as requested and lively bacon, shredded hash rows with multigrain toast. Hubby chose the Heavy Wait with all the fixings! Great breakfast. Coffee was plentiful and good! Conversation with an older gentleman in a black cowboy hat was lovely. Thanks for a lovely morning! It was reasonably priced as well! $33.27 including taxes!
Excellent diner! Super friendly staff and wonderful breakfast food and coffee. I particularly loved how they cooked our eggs and the sourdough toast. Would highly recommend.
