I ordered the main vegetarian dish, but it was quite disappointing. Honestly, I could have made something tastier at home, which is always disheartening at a restaurant. The dish also lacked avocado, which would have added some much-needed freshness. Overall, it fell short in terms of flavor—not what you would expect from a Mexican meal. With some creative salsa combinations, it could have really come alive. Unfortunately, it felt like just a standard vegetarian option rather than a standout dish that would entice me to return. On a positive note, the coffee was excellent.

My only small issue was it was a wee bit cold for my partner. The service was amazing and the coffee was probably the best I've had in Nelson this year! Recommend this place for sure!!

The place does music stuff in the evenings so when you walk in for breakfast it's like walking onto a movie set. Lots of green plants (the place used to be a garden centre) a stage with red velvet curtains, theatre doors etc. Very nice vibe. We had the scrambled tofu (like smashed avacado but better) and I had toast and jam. While the tofu was delicious and would of made a great lunch or dinner meal, the toast and jam was a winner for me! They lightly fried the bread which made it amazing and it was served with homemade jam, mixed berries. This jam is on par with jam we had in Rotterdam in a very hip trendy cafe. A nice surprise and a good find in Nelson.
