Description

**Crossroad's Restaurant: A Mixed Bag of Experiences**

Crossroad's Restaurant presents itself as a spacious and charming dining option, where the menu boasts a wide array of hearty pub food. While some patrons have enjoyed flavorful dishes like chicken schnitzel and exceptional desserts, others have faced frustrating service issues, including long wait times and overcharges. Complaints about the quality of certain meals overshadowed otherwise pleasant visits. Despite these drawbacks, the friendliness of the staff, particularly the chef and waiters, stands out. For those seeking a casual outing, the restaurant's outdoor area and variety of menu options provide a redeeming quality, even amid mixed feedback.

A family group of 5 of us had a beautiful meal on September the 6th. 3 of us had delicious chicken snitzel, another had a beautiful steak cooked to perfection and 1 other had the pork belly which was so good. We went on to have dessert. 2 of us had a beautiful apricot strudel, another had the apple crumble which looked so tasty and I was told it was really nice. 1 other of us had donuts which looked delicious and I was told tasted really nice. John the Chef and the waiter made our experience great. I can't reccommend Crossroad's Restaurant enough.

Service was extremely slow even with few people there, had to set our own tables, very unorganized.

Hearty meals and pub food available. With Sprig Fern being the only other option for a meal and drinks Crossroads has a wider choice on the menu. Cosy fireplace to lounge around in winter. Option to pop through to the pub for drinks.

One and a half hour wait for a main meal?? Not good.

For dessert, two of us chose the delightful apricot strudel, another had the appealing apple crumble, which I heard was very tasty, and one person opted for the donuts, which looked scrumptious and were reportedly very good. John, the chef, and the waiter ensured our experience was exceptional. I highly recommend Crossroad's Restaurant!
