For the past five years, I've had a hard time enjoying bread like I used to due to chemotherapy affecting my gluten tolerance. When I read that authentic sourdough can break down gluten, I decided to give it a try since I'm not celiac. Cue my happy dance! What Brian A. Becker dislikes about Wolfmoon:
You can tell that the ingredients are high-quality, but the execution could use some improvement. The sesame bread appears to be made from a high-hydration dough, yet it turned out to be dense, heavy, and somewhat wet in the center. The sweet rolls also lacked sweetness. Perhaps it was just an off batch. View all feedback.

I absolutely loved this place! You can order bread, coffee, and sweet crispy rolls through their website for pickup on Saturday or Sunday. Just log in on Tuesday when the selection opens, then swing by on your pickup day for the easiest pickup experience ever. Simply park in front of the building, and your order will be waiting for you on racks organized by last name. The sourdough bread was fantastic, and although the sourdough baguette wasn’t as tall as a traditional loaf, it tasted wonderful. The coffee is outstanding, and the laminated rolls are a delightful blend of a croissant and bread, with melted sugar all over.
The sourdough bread wasn't as tangy as I had anticipated. The crust was rather hard and overly dark for a crusty loaf, while the inside felt sticky, as if it had been baked at too high a temperature. The honey buns could have benefited from a longer, more gradual rise and more filling. We were disappointed that the café was closed when we arrived after 10:30, as we were eager to try the coffee as well.
For 5 years I have been unable to enjoy bread like I used to since chemo ruined gluten for me. I had read that true sourdough bread breaks down the gluten and since I am not celiac, I decided to give it a try. Cue the happy dance! I found Wolfmoon at the Manzanita Farmers Market and bought a loaf of their bread. It has been over a month of buying their bread every week since. No more disgusting gluten free bread with all of the unhealthy ingredients to make them palatable. Yes, the bread is expensive compared to regular bread at the store (not compared to gluten free bread) but IMO it is worth it to have a little piece of heaven back into my life. I highly recommend that you try their bread if you are gluten sensitive. You will not be sorry!
We’ve ordered porch deliveries from Wolfmoon a few times now and the coffee beans are excellent. We’ve tried both the Peru and Ethiopian varieties, and each makes a delicious morning brew. Be sure to order early in the week because they sell out fast. Last week, we picked up a baguette that was delicious, and this week we’re looking forward to trying their rye bread.

The pastries aren't overly sweet, which I really enjoy! They only offer the basics for coffee (black, latte, espresso), and that's my preference as well. It would be great to see them add some sweeter options and flavored coffees, as it might attract more customers. Overall, I would definitely recommend checking them out!
Charming coffee shop and bakery located in Nehalem, OR. The owner is friendly, genuine, and knowledgeable. Service is excellent and prices are reasonable! I enjoyed a cappuccino and sampled their fresh bread, pain au chocolat, and cinnamon roll. Everything was delicious, and you can really feel their passion for what they do! The interior has a lovely ambiance, and the patio is perfect for enjoying coffee on a sunny morning. It's definitely worth a visit, and I will be returning!

For the past five years, I've had a hard time enjoying bread like I used to due to chemotherapy affecting my gluten tolerance. When I read that authentic sourdough can break down gluten, I decided to give it a try since I'm not celiac. Cue my happy dance! I found Wolfmoon at the Manzanita Farmers Market and bought a loaf of their sourdough. It's been over a month now, and I eagerly pick up their bread every week. I'm done with awful gluten-free options filled with unhealthy additives just to enhance the flavor. While their sourdough is pricier than regular store-bought bread (though still cheaper than gluten-free varieties), I genuinely think it’s worth every penny for that delightful flavor. If you're gluten-sensitive, I highly recommend trying their bread—you won’t regret it!
The pastries might not be overly sweet, but that's just how I like them! The coffee menu is fairly simple—offering just black coffee, lattes, and espresso—but that suits me perfectly! It would be nice if they could add some sweeter desserts and coffee options, as that could draw in more customers. All in all, I highly recommend checking this place out!
I spent the weekend by the coast and was looking for some bakery treats. I was fortunate to get a loaf of wild bread, which was fantastic, as well as a honey bun that was delicious, although it was a bit dense—I might consider adding some savory ingredients next time. The coffee was also superb! The Guatemalan brew was particularly excellent. I can't wait for my next visit and hope this wonderful bakery remains in Nehalem for a long time to come.
