Description

Tucked away near the coast, this small roadside diner offers a nostalgic, comfortable atmosphere with consistently excellent service and a diverse menu praised for standout breakfast dishes, fresh seafood, and generous portions at reasonable prices. Highlights include a delicious halibut sandwich, flavorful chicken fajitas, and creamy chowder, alongside tasty homemade pies and gluten-free options. While many patrons appreciate the friendly staff and local charm, some have reported disappointing experiences related to service inconsistency, portion sizes, and unsettling encounters, particularly affecting LGBTQ+ guests. Overall, it remains a beloved local spot worth visiting, especially for breakfast enthusiasts and seafood lovers.

Stopped to get food heading home from Astoria with the family best food I’ve had in a long time the chowder was creamy and not gritty Ike other places I’ve been will definitely be eating there when I go fishing this fall

Awesome place to eat. We ate breakfast and supper at the Bunkhouse. The menu is basic and the food tastes outstanding. Five stars for me. The servers are very friendly and prices are reasonable. Nice log cabin type atmosphere, highly recommend.

A person cannot find a better place to rest and recoup from a drive than The Bunk House Restaurant. Excellent food and a very warm welcome.

We stopped in here for breakfast while we were visiting the Oregon coast. It’s a warm cozy and well established restaurant that serves a delicious food. The service is excellent and atmosphere is genuine, an old school type that is slipping away with gentrification. There was even a potbelly stove I believe in the corner somewhere. Anyway, I’ll be dropping in for a bite the next time i’m around. Service: Dine in
