Itsara is absolutely Amazing
The theme is all Thai, but it's not authentic, it's the Chef's version of Super-Thai. Easily the best Thai in Perth or possibly ANYWHERE-it's that good.
We've only "discovered" it recently so only been 3 times. The worst dishes are 4.5+ the best 5.0+
The decor is 5.0 and 5.0+ when you take into account I'm certain it's all "home made" by the owners. The Garden is the place to sit in Sum... View all feedback.
What John Salleh dislikes about Itsara:
Been once before and we had to wait for our meal ! when it came it was good but the service was awful then ...and on our recent repeat visit, it was still awful/unprofessional...young ladies with no training in service...quite unacceptable for an wannabe upmarket' restaurant. Duck red curry was very good but the other dishes were mehSeriously overpriced too...We've done our dash, won't be coming again View all feedback.
Modern take on Thai cuisine. We ordered Lovers pillows, Half-moon for the entrees, the Duck Curry and the char grilled chicken stir fry for our mains. The food was superb, with rich flavours and fresh ingredients. Loved the entrees, the four little parcels vanished in no time and the half moon is perfect mix of refined street food with royal presentation. The sauce of the duck curry was delicate and was full of flavour. The stir fry was bang on – perfectly cooked meat with beautiful flavours and fresh produce. We ordered two serves of the Ginger and kaffir lime infused crème brûlée and we loved it!! Its just pure divine. Prices are little higher than your average Thai restaurants but I think its worth. Yes, definitely they (Itsara) will attract more people if they include a serve of rice with their mains, which won’t cost them heaps but will be a good deal for a lot of foodies, who are complaining about the price. The service was professional and the ambiance was pleasant. They have a lovely out door area which is fantastic for parties and group dinners if the weather is good. The staff are friendly and efficient. Probably the best Thai I've had in Perth! Absolutely loved their duck curry and lover’s pillows!!

The Garden is the place to sit in Summer-ABSOLUTELY WORLD CLASS-like the Restaurant itself. The Chef is a weirdo like all great Chefs!!! HE WONT PERMIT THE WAIT STAFF TO BRING SALT TO YOUR TABLE woooooohooooo go, GO BIG DOG! (I suppose you could sneak some in in your pocket ????????) The wait-staff are 4.5 world class when consider English is not their first language, they too are 5.0+ ITSARA WILL NOT DISAPPOINT
This was the best Thai food we’ve had in Perth so far. I highly recommend “Lovers Pillow and Spicy Stir-fry with thai eggplant pork”. Great aromatic dishes, delicious and authentic.
