Meats were mediocre. No one in my family liked any of the sides (Mac and cheese, corn bread, Cole slaw, Mexican corn). We usually love BBQ food but this did not hit the spot at all. Also: Got 2 out of our 4 dinners wrong. For example, I ordered the pulled chicken, they gave me pulled pork. No line still waited 30 minutes for food.
Mad J’s BBQ was fantastic with catering my 50th birthday party. Everyone raved about the burnt pork ends, the peach baked beans, the Mac and cheese, the pulled pork and pulled chicken. The Drunken Apple BBQ sauce was delicious! Would definitely be using Mad J’s again in the future!
Mad js is amazing I recommend the nachos they have great meat and the sauce is so sweet and delicious
Not worth the money. The portions you get for the prices are ridiculously cheap. The pulled pork and brisket were dry. The smoked beer brat sandwich had literally only one onion and one pepper on it. The coleslaw has no flavor whatsoever and themacaroni and cheese had about a teaspoon worth of cheese on top of dry noodles. Also their mad reaper ?hot sauce? is a joke. There is no heat in that sauce at all. The only good thing was the corn muffins and hotdog. Everything else was a waste ofmoney.
I ordered pulled pork and pulled chicken with sides of peach baked beans, Mexican street corn and mac and cheese for a rehearsal dinner for 40 people. All of the food was delicious. Some guest thought the corn had a very smoky flavor, but that issubjective. Everyone LOVED the mac and cheese. Everyone was pleased with the flavor of the meats. The sauces were also amazing. The only area that could use change would be the communication. I needed to reach out several times before someone got back tome about catering. I almost went with another restaurant because of that. I am glad that I was persistent because the food wasworth it!
