Our interest in this rich history was piqued after reading “Ireland, a novel” by Frank Delaney. This led us to book a tour during our recent visit to Dublin, only a 30-minute drive away. The tour took us to a prehistoric site with four circular structures, primarily used for burials. The main structure features a shaft that lights up during the summer solstice. Surrounding the structures are large boulders brought from other areas, adorned with symbols. The hour-long tour was fascinating and highly recommended. It is wise to book in advance as tour sizes are limited and in high demand.
