Aidan Cosgrove, Chef and Patron, has nurtured a passion for food from a young age. His ambition to open his own restaurant grew through years of experience working in renowned establishments both locally and abroad. Alongside gaining valuable knowledge and refining his skills, Aidan developed a unique culinary vision focused on delivering the finest food. These dreams came to life in December 2015 when Room8 proudly opened its doors in Navan, bringing Aidan’s distinctive ideas to the table.

I have dined at Room 8 for lunch several times and have never been disappointed. The food and service are consistently fantastic. Last night, I had dinner there for the first time and was completely blown away. I already knew the food was excellent from my previous visits, but the fillet steak I had was the best I have ever had in Navan. The service was top-notch and could easily be mistaken for that of a Michelin star restaurant. The ambiance was fantastic, with romantic candles and small details everywhere you look. I will definitely be returning soon and highly recommend Room 8 - it deserves 5 stars.
INCREDIBLE!! I recently made the switch from vegetarian to vegan, and I dined at this restaurant with my five friends who are all meat and fish eaters. To our surprise, we were all extremely impressed with the food and service. As a new vegan, I have been worried about being a burden on the kitchen and staff when dining out. However, when I made the reservation and mentioned that one of us was vegan, they assured me it was no problem. True to their word, they called me on the day of the reservation to inquire about any allergies I may have. When we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the waitress had prepared a handwritten vegan menu for me, with options for starters, main courses, and desserts. I decided on the mushroom starter with homemade sourdough bread, followed by the Thai red curry with chickpeas, courgette, and mixed color rice. The flavors were amazing, and the portion size was perfect. For dessert, I had the choice between mango sorbet and chocolate avocado mousse. It was outstanding! I was truly impressed by the effort the chef and staff put in to accommodate my dietary needs. Thank you to the Room 8 team for an outstanding meal, beautiful decor, and great ambiance. I have already booked my next meal for December and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience. Well done, guys! My meat-eating friends were also very pleased with their meals. Don't wait, go check out this place soon!
I cannot praise enough the experience we just had at Room 8. As a vegan, I contacted the restaurant to inquire about their menu options and was pleasantly surprised by the delicious offerings available to me. Instead of the typical vegetable dishes, I enjoyed a fantastic falafel salad, a spicy Thai sweet potato and chickpea curry, and a chocolate avocado mousse topped with hazelnuts. To top it off, I indulged in a blood orange sorbet that was to die for. My husband enjoyed sticky spicy wings and perfectly cooked pan-fried seabass with a light green salad on the side. The friendly and helpful staff added to the overall wonderful dining experience. I highly recommend booking a table at Room 8!
Just had the most delicious dinner in Room 8 and we really enjoyed it from start to finish, fantastic food and absolutely lovely staff , i highly recommend a visit to this Restaurant and we will definitely be back .Thank you for a lovely meal Room 8.
