Everybody was raving about their food. There was a really nice atmosphere in the room and for...the quality of the food it was good value for money. Would definitely return.

The food was fantastic,... read more We celebrated our granddaughter's Christening today at the Gandon Room restaurant in Slane Castle and had a truly wonderful experience. The food was fantastic, and the children loved their menu as well. The staff were exceptional, attentive, and went above and beyond for us. The castle setting is absolutely stunning. The food was outstanding from beginning to end. We both started with goat’s cheese—absolutely delicious. I had the beef, while my husband enjoyed the salmon with crab claws and mussels; both dishes were flavorful and beautifully presented. For dessert, we shared cheesecake that literally melted in our mouths. Although the restaurant was very busy, the service was impeccable. I would highly recommend Browne's.

We visited for Spanish night the venue was cold and dim. Our waitress had no idea about the menu, we were quite confused as to where to go initially. Starters were delicious. One of our mains were stone cold and had to be replaced. When we asked for a second bottle of wine it was simply left on the table with the cap on. We could have done with extra plates for the shared starters. The staff were very friendly and kind. The wine was delicious

While I wish I could rate this place higher, there were some noticeable issues. The chicken terrine was beautifully plated, but my baked oysters were overshadowed by overly vinegary and crunchy vegetables. To make matters worse, the waiter accidentally spilled the oysters on a bed of salt, making them too salty. The main course, despite using high-quality ingredients and being perfectly cooked, was disappointing in flavor—the dishes were bland and the sauce lacked any real taste. We also experienced poor service, having to ask for wine three times before it arrived halfway through our main meal, and the waiter seemed more focused on blaming colleagues than apologizing. Overall, Browne's shows promise but needs significant improvements to justify its pricing.
