Portion sizes were very genero... read more This is an excellent place for lunch. We stopped on our way to Gredos on the motorcyle. The menu del día is varied and delicious. Portion sizes were very generous. Three good courses, wine and water, coffee all for €12.50. Fast, pleasant service too. We called at lunchtime on a Wednesday in July and it was very busy. It would be worth booking to avoid disappointment. It’s well worth a visit! Highly recommended.

I ordered a dish, he wave... read more We were recommended to this restaurant by El Hotelito . Unpretentious, not exceptionally anything, waiter was friendly but not overly. I ordered a dish, he waved me off and told me to get the Chuletón de Avila. I complied. He was right. Huge chunk of meat, perfectly cooked and salted. Unfortunately we had ordered a cheese appetizer (HUGE also) and had trouble finishing the steak, but I did. Other dishes were lamb chops and breaded steak which were also hits.

Very clean and nice looking, went as large group and they were able to help out in seating us all. Due to lack of Spanish speaking in our group I was able to get the menu translated to everyone and helped out the staff to get items to the right person. As only a few of us are actually from there, some of the staff was put off by serving us and showed a lack of interest in getting things for group. One staff member was very helpful and seemed to doing all the work himself while the other stood back and gave us dirty looks. The Food was very good and worth the price, the Gazpacho was to die for. we had also placed Cabrito on order prior so that was done excellent and on time. I recommend this place if visiting town, be sure to bring someone who is from here.
