McLoone's Pier House National Harbor

McLoone's is a fantastic place to get a feel for Maryland food, culture, and ambience. The seafood there was to die for crab stuffed shrimp, crab stuffed salmon, and delicious salads just to name a few examples. A fantastic place to bring people from out of town or to meet up with friends for a good meal.

I made a reservation for four and everything was ready when we arrived. The waitress was pleasant and attentive. The food was very tasty. One complaint was that the entree came before we had completed our appetizers. There were few people in the restaurant so there was no need to rush us. A nice selection of wine by the glass. My meal was exactly what I expected, was tasty and cooked just right. No one in our party of four complained about their meal, although the fish of the day was an enormous meal. All in all, we would come back again.

It started out as a good night, we got our appetizers and our drinks but went downhill from there. Over 45 minutes later still no dinner. We ended up having to leave and couldn’t wait any longer but Sharonda was an amazing manager and comp’d our items and apologized profusely. We also loved Don the bartender so it balanced out the night to make it not so terrible. The appetizer we had was good just wished we could have gotten our food...

For a lovely view of the sunset and good seafood dishes, this place is a very good choice.
